Droneworlds Exclusive Crash Protection Plan is provided at a fee and available for all new and refurbished DJI Drones (Regardless of where they were purchased from)
Droneworld’s Exclusive Crash Protection Plan is also available for drones that were NOT purchased from Droneworld provided all terms and conditions are adhered to.
By purchasing from Droneworld, you will receive a coverage amount equal to the market price of your aircraft for repair services within the validity period, providing you with a worry-free flight.
50% Discount from one of our DJI aircraft rental fleets while your Aircraft is under repair (dependent on availability)
There is no limit to the number of times your aircraft can be repaired, provided the coverage amount is not exceeded. If we replace the Drone under Droneworld’s exclusive Crash protection plan, Droneworld will keep the broken drone.
Droneworld Exclusive Crash Protection Plan is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and will automatically terminate once the repair cost equals the market value of the aircraft.

Send your product (including the aircraft, gimble, propellers, and 1 x battery), to our store in Cape Town. Do Not return the remote controller.

Droneworld Exclusive Crash Protection Plan will be terminated without notice in the following situations:
– The service has expired
– Your DJI product was repaired by a non-official DJI repair centre.
– If the customer has found to have broken a product on purpose, the service will be terminated automatically.
During the validity period, if accidental damage occurs during normal use, repair fees and related costs will be covered by Droneworld Exclusive Crash Protection Plan. Your aircraft will also be repaired subject to a small excess of just 5% of the purchase price. Repair costs and aircraft conditions must satisfy Droneworld Exclusive Crash Protection Plan which is that you must prove a minimum of five hours flying time on your DJI account from the start date of your Droneworld Exclusive Crash Protection Plan on the drone that you are claiming on.

DroneShield Crash Protection:
1.1. Eligibility DroneShield Crash Protection covers all new and refurbished DJI drones, irrespective of the purchase location. Drones not bought from Droneworld are also eligible, as long as all terms and conditions are met.
1.2. Coverage DroneShield Crash Protection offers coverage equal to your drone’s market price for repair services during the 12-month validity period, ensuring a hassle-free flight experience.
1.3. Unlimited Repairs, Your drone can be repaired an unlimited number of times, as long as the coverage amount isn’t exceeded. If a replacement drone is provided, Droneworld will retain the damaged drone.
1.4. Benefits 50% discount on DJI aircraft rentals from our fleet during your drone’s repair (subject to availability) Coverage for accidental damage during regular use, with a minimal excess of 5% of the purchase price
1.5. Exclusions DroneShield Crash Protection does not cover:
- Lost or partially lost aircraft
- Gimbal, or camera Stolen, forgotten, or abandoned products
- Damage due to inappropriate or illegal flight conditions, including pilot negligence
- Remote controller
- Liquid damage
- Abrasions, or shell damage not affecting performance
- Losses caused directly or indirectly by force majeure
- Repairs outside the validity period or by non-official DJI repair centers
- Unauthorized modifications or use of incompatible batteries and chargers
- Poor light conditions, sport mode
- Flying on/with someone else’s account
1.6. Claim Process:
To file a claim, follow the instructions in the “Claim Form” and “Replacement Process”.
Dark Sky Pro Crash Protection:
3.1. VIP Service Dark Sky Pro Crash Protection includes all DroneShield Crash Protection benefits and coverage, plus VIP services for an additional fee.
3.2. Loan or Replacement Drone Customers choosing the VIP warranty service or DroneShield/Dark Sky Pro VIP service will receive a loaner or replacement drone if their drone needs to be sent to China for repair, or if the exact model is not in stock for replacement.
3.3. Additional Benefit for Dark Sky Pro VIP Customers Flying in poor light conditions is only permitted for enterprise drones equipped with an active thermal camera.
3.4. Other Terms & Conditions, All other terms and conditions, such as eligibility, coverage, unlimited repairs, exclusions, and claim process, apply as detailed in the “DroneShield Crash Protection” section.
Criteria to be met but not limited to for a claim with any of Droneworld exclusive Crash Protection Plan should be met:
- Applicable for enterprise drones only, flying in the dark with thermal cameras (at night). A minimum of 4 hours of flight time on the drone is required for eligibility, including 2 hours flown in darkness (at least 1 hour after sunset and 1 hour before sunrise).
- Need to be filming while the crash occurs and have footage as proof that will accompany the flight logs.
- Must provide Flight Logs from DJI app .
- Must be flying on your own DJI account not someone elses account.
3rd Party Apps
Drone World crash protection will not cover your drone if you use third-party apps, you must use the DJI App always.
